Carol Mackoff is a senior financial executive with a 30-year record in building and managing businesses in the investment banking and financial services markets.  She joined Rice Financial in 1994 and manages the firm’s taxable fixed income trading desk in Chicago.

Ms. Mackoff began her career in financial derivatives in 1978, progressing in a non-traditional marketplace to become the first woman President of a U.S. futures clearing firm—NatWest Futures, Inc., a subsidiary of National Westminster Bank.  During this time, Ms. Mackoff represented the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and National Westminster Bank to the media in both English and French on issues relating to foreign exchange and interest rate fundamentals, appearing on CNN and CBC Canada as a commentator and panelist.  She has lectured on futures and options at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and on career management to MBA candidates at Arizona State University.  In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Ms. Mackoff was designated as team leader of the industry PAC and served as an advisor to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade and the London International Financial Futures Exchange on issues that relate to foreign exchange and interest rate futures and options. She served on committees responsible for compliance with industry rules and regulations, arbitration, credit and margin policy. 

Ms. Mackoff received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in teaching from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She is fluent in French and conversational in German, Russian and Japanese.
