John Murphy joined Rice Financial’s Taxable Fixed Income Trading Group in 2011.  Mr. Murphy has 30 years of experience in financial services, most recently with Cabrera Capital Markets.  He began his career with Dean Witter Reynolds in New York City, where he was Systems Manager for Government Bond Operations.  After five years with Dean Witter, he moved to Goldman Sachs & Co., where he was employed for more than 20 years, ultimately as a Vice President in the Industry Sales Group.  He later worked as a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments and a broker at Hilliard Farber & Co. 

Mr. Murphy received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentration in economics and finance from Pace University in New York City and is designated as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
