In July 2005, Ken Bruce joined Rice Financial as a Senior Vice President to develop and broaden the firm’s presence in the institutional fixed income sales, trading and underwriting markets.  Mr. Bruce concentrates on the sales and trading of U.S. Government securities, GSE securities, corporate debt and foreign sovereign debt. 

In 1983, Mr. Bruce joined Pryor, Counts & Co., Inc., as a securities salesperson primarily involved in the development of the securities distribution network for the firm.  During this time, Mr. Bruce also designed and implemented various portfolio hedging and speculation strategies through the use of options and futures trading on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. In 1985 Mr. Bruce was promoted to Vice President of securities sales and trading where he also assumed the responsibilities of recruitment and training of sales and trading personnel.   In 1993 Mr. Bruce was promoted to the position of Managing Director of International Securities Sales, Trading and Underwriting, encompassing all capital commitments in dollar and non-dollar denominated securities.  Mr. Bruce was also responsible for Pryor’s commitments to various U.S. Government Sponsored Enterprises, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Federal Farm Credit System, the Tennessee Valley Authority, Sallie Mae and Ginnie Mae, as well as the firm's underwriting commitments to such supranational issuers as the African Development Bank and The World Bank. 

In June 2004, the professional staff of Pryor, Counts & Co., Inc., formed Pryor, Doley Securities, a wholly owned division of Doley Securities Inc.  As Managing Director, Mr. Bruce helped develop the firm’s relationships with institutional investors, the GSEs and corporate clients.  In addition, Mr. Bruce implemented and developed the firm’s institutional equity brokerage capabilities.

Mr. Bruce earned a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Southwest Missouri State University.
